My goal for creating “MOSSY” the spirit of moss and all of the associated mythical nature spirit characters is to create a vivacious and magical world. For sculptures and installations to live and breath in places where the world has forgotten its roots in nature and its magestic green history. The island of Manhattan is a perfect example as it was once a completely green, biodiverse, nature filled home to creatures, plant life and even the native Lenape people who called it “Welikia”. Welikia means “my good home”. Long before it was a city there were people loving and living on this island. I would love to build a magical, living public installation with my moss sculptures and mythical characters to recreate a magestic and natural world right in the heart of the urban city of Manhattan.
